Well it would seem as though my original prediction of episode 2 of Total Deviant Island being up "next month" was a bit too generous, as that was several months ago now. Oops. I swear it was moving along fine for a while, but other commitments came up, followed by the holiday season and along the way it just got buried in the pile. But I have not given up on this project, in fact episode 2 is almost complete and I can very likely start posting it sometime later this week if all goes well. I guess the idea of having it flow one ep after another was a bit too far-fetched, and this may follow the same pacing I've had with some of my fanfics, being more like an update every couple months. But we'll see how it goes, like I said, I don't intend to let this fall to the wayside like other projects, and I'm hoping to hold myself accountable to that. What's happening everyone? As the years have gone by, I've drifted away from the days when I would be regularly filling my dA page with doodles, fanarts, or various charts. My main creative output largely became Fanfiction, which I'd been writing on a separate site for some time now. I think I started writing TD fan seasons around the time I was 19 or 20, and now it's ten years later. I loved the feeling of creating a story and seeing it come to life and letting people read and react, but I also found with each passing season it became harder and harder to find the motivation to move at a lively pace, combined with more and more events in my own real life taking up time, writing went from a daily activity, to a weekly occurrence, to whenever I could find time between the months. So I've thought a lot about where I wanted to go from here, I still have endless ideas for Total Drama stories, but just not the motivation to put in the time for them. It may be a ghost town in here now, who knows if anyone is still checking in here, but I have come to assemble a cast for another Online Reality Game, and I thought why not get back to my roots and try to pull in some fresh blood from deviantart itself!
